Kt Walters Singer Kt was singing as soon as she could talk. At age 12 she attended Sylvia Young Theatre School where she took part in a number of events, adverts and TV shows, such as performing in Oliver! at the London Palladium and in EastEnders, plus presenting on Disney Channel and many more! Over the last few years she has been a part of many girl bands, recorded a number of demos for songwriters and performed on radio road shows. She’s been singing soul and funk music for the past 4 years and brings this experience to Studio 54. Angie Barton Singer Angie just loves singing! Her influences include Aretha Franklin, Eva Cassidy, Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder. Experienced and talented, she's been singing since the age of 7. She can move effortlessly from dance floor fillers to soul ballads and is having a ball in Studio 54. In her teens she performed with various gospel groups and choirs and now sings soul, blues and jazz. Such is her unique vocal style, she was regularly selected to perform on live TV shows, record backing vocals for films and top recording artists, including Junior Giscombe and Elaine Page, as well as perform on live tours and shows around the UK. Laura Wolfe Singer Laura started performing on stage to an audience of 500 at the age of 3, singing with her twin sister. From that one experience a whole career, passion and lifestyle has bloomed. A singer/songwriter from Kent, Laura has sung across London and the South East of England in theatre and dance shows, competitions and festivals. She has also been involved in teaching and directing large numbers of casts and classes. Laura is now training at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, Europe’s leading music school. Laura’s song style and taste covers all genres and over the years she has learned different vocal techniques and found her own voice. andquot;Through my music I show my emotion, and through my emotion I write music". David Chapple Musical Director Guitar David has played professionally in rock, blues, country, pop and soul/funk genres. A self-taught musician who progressed to lessons and music theory courses, he has had stints in prestigious venues such as the Cafe de Paris in London, and has played cruise ships, country clubs and top London hotels for many years. He has extensive recording experience and has recorded and performed his own compositions in London venues and played for dozens of artists including: Roy Castle, Steve Lawrie (Elaine Paige) Jeff Martin (Joe Brown) Dave Taylor (Albert Lee) and Roger Cotton (Spandau Ballet). Brian Williams Drums Brian has been playing for 22 years and started out on the London circuit back in 1986 with a melodic rock band, then moved to soul and funk bands two years later. He has performed at all of London’s major venues including The Rock Garden, Dingwalls, The Marquee, Half Moon, Tramshed and The Fridge. He has also worked with Hannah Bradbeer during the 2008 season of The X Factor. Derrick Coonghe Bass and Saxophone Derrick turned professional after studying music at Goldsmith’s College in London and composition at London College of Music. He has expanded his multi-instrumental abilities to include the flute and clarinet as well as bass and sax. He is also an arranger and music producer. Derrick has performed in a variety of settings from salsa, funk, jazz, pop, disco, rock, experimental and contemporary classical to music theatre. He has performed extensively with a host of bands and has toured the UK and participated in shows in Monaco, Portugal, India, Zambia and the Middle East. He has played corporate functions in everything from small intimate theatres and clubs to large venues like London Exxcel and Birmingham NIA. More recently Derrick has worked in theatre on productions such as The Rat Pack Live in Las Vegas and Musical Express. Dan Edwards Keyboards Dan is a keyboard player who taught himself jazz and blues alongside the traditional classical repertoire and trained at Goldsmiths College, London. He has worked with some of the current blues greats as well as being a regular festival performer in the UK and Europe. His recording and TV credits include The Late Late Show, RTE1, Sweet Soul Music, BBCi digital, Derry Jazz and Big Band, BBC Radio 4, The Extraordinaires and Friends, All Nite Long Records, Back Seat Boogie for Dave Briggs and Where No One Stands Alone for Pete Rivers. Dan has developed a wonderful blues style within the funk/disco genre, which complements the band perfectly. |
